When seeking online marketing opportunities, we’re bombarded with tons of choices, all claiming to be the best and easiest way to make money online. These sites usually show pictures of everything from money to big homes to fancy cars. As a rule, I stick with the “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” theory.

As in an offline business, an online business will be successful only if the product or service being marketed is legitimate and has proven value. Additionally, it must be marketed within a system that can be duplicated and must be accessible 24 / 7 / 365.

It will be tempting at first to look into the “get rich quick” opportunities but, be advised, you’ll probably wind up getting “burned” and end up with a disdain taste for the whole online marketing industry.

In marketing online, you’re obviously going to have a website that tells and sells your story. It should be able to sift through the viewers that are serious about pursuing an online opportunity versus those that are the “tire kickers,” seeking the opportunity that will allow them to lie around all day while the money comes pouring in! Good luck with that notion!

Getting people to view your website is key. There must be traffic to it and lots of it. So, how do we get traffic?

The drugs epidemic is the human community’s first – and hopefully will prove to be its ONLY – truly global catastrophe. There have been plagues, earthquakes and floods, the collapse of empires, wars and genocides but I can think of no disaster in all human history that has struck, as the drugs epidemic has done, almost simultaneously at every community and every nation in every far-flung corner of our world.

Humanity is under attack along several fronts: the debt slavery of our global system of fake money for example, or the dumbing-down occasioned by the spread of illiteracy or the creation of crime and insanity by psychiatry but drug addiction as a means to destroy Man is the most virulent and intractable of all the weapons in the satanic arsenal.

Drug addiction is a trap that can and does ensnare and then utterly ruin – and I speak here from personal experience of working in the rehabilitation field – our best and brightest. It does not respect intellect or the innate worth, ability or decency of its victim.

Those who fall into it have fallen into a personal agonized hell from which escape can prove very elusive and in so doing they have pulled down with them the friends and family who love and care for them.

“Man,” says Hazlitt, “is the only animal that laughs and weeps, for he is the only animal that is struck with the difference between what things are and what they ought to be.” The sources, then, of laughter and tears come very close together. At the difference between things as they are and as they ought to be we laugh, or we weep; it would depend, it seems, on the point of view, or the temperament. And if, as Horace Walpole once said, “Life is a comedy to those who think, a tragedy to those who feel,” it is the thinking half of humanity that, at the sight of life’s incongruities, is moved to laughter, the feeling half to tears. A sense of humor, then, is the possession of the thinking half, and the humorists must be classified at once with the thinkers.

If one were asked to go further than this and to give offhand a definition of humor, or of that elusive quality, a sense of humor, he might find himself confronted with a difficulty. Yet certain things about it would be patent at the outset: Women haven’t it; Englishmen haven’t it; it is the chiefest of the virtues, for tho a man speak with the tongues of men and of angels, if he have not humor we will have none of him. Women may continue to laugh over those innocent and innocuous incidents which they find amusing; may continue to write the most delightful of stories and essays—consider Jane Austen and our own Miss Repplier—over which appreciative readers may continue to chuckle; Englishmen may continue, as in the past to produce the most exquisite of the world’s humorous literature—think of Charles Lamb—yet the fundamental faith of mankind will remain unshaken: women have no sense of humor, and an Englishman cannot see a joke! And the ability to “see a joke” is the infallible American test of the sense of humor.
