* Talk to your child honestly. Let your child know how you feel about Hebrew school. Share from your own experience and engagement to Judaism. Listen to your child and try to find out what’s really bothering them.

Try to remember how you felt when you went to Hebrew school. Was it always so fun? Wouldn’t you (as a child) rather do something else instead? And what did you gain from attending religious school.

Be positive about Hebrew school. Encourage your child by emphasizing other fun or interesting activities in Hebrew school, other than learning Hebrew. How about interesting Torah stories? the weekly Parasha?, Arts and craft projects for Jewish Holidays?

DO NOT blame the teacher/s – In my experience, I have met some great teachers at work who faced “unhappy” students and vice versa.

DO talk to the teacher to explore other options for getting the student more involved and challenged in his school activities. It is possible that drama and acting the Torah story will be more appealing for your child; maybe the student can compose or play an instrument to show their understanding of the main idea of the Parasha? Modern dances can be interesting too and reflect students’ understanding.

The conclusions we can draw from this study are that rural Americans need and can benefit greatly from the availability of high-speed Internet services. Satellite Internet is the logical vehicle to supply these areas with access, because of how it is delivered. If the cable and DSL providers thought it was cost-effective to service these areas, I am assuming they would have done so years ago.

Your belief systems about money and everything else develop from infancy in four ways.  From the things you see, from the things you hear, from the individual events that you experience in your lives, and finally from the influences in your life – your parents, friends, society, culture, teachers and the media. This is the same for your children, they are developing their belief systems about money in this way too.

They are continually being infected with “social stories” that they must be this way or that way or have this or that thing to be happy.   Some children are growing up thinking that money comes from a hole in the wall, or if you want to buy something that you just use some magic swipe card.  So ask yourself, what are my children learning about money from what I do?  Are they learning to overspend or borrow for things that depreciate, or to save and spend wisely what they have?  Are they learning that investing in assets will keep them financially well or that buying liabilities will make them financially sick?
